Wells Fargo Force Placed Auto Insurance

Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is Investigating Reports That Wells Fargo Forced Insurance Policies on Auto Loan Customers

Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP (“Kessler Topaz”) is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Wells Fargo Dealer Services, a division of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (collectively “Wells Fargo”) on behalf certain Wells Fargo auto loan customers who may have been charged for auto insurance they did not want or need.

Kessler Topaz’s Investigation

Specifically, Kessler Topaz is investigating whether Wells Fargo forced borrowers to purchase unwanted or unnecessary auto insurance.

According to a report recently obtained by The New York Times, Wells Fargo required its customers to whom it issued auto loans to buy auto insurance policies from National General Insurance as far back as 2006. This insurance was unecessary or often more expensive than insurance those customers already had.

If you financed your vehicle through Wells Fargo and you were charged for unnecessary or unwanted auto insurance through National General Insurance, and would like to learn more about our investigation, please fill out our online form, or contact us today at 888-299-7706 or by email at [email protected].
