KESSLER TOPAZ MELTZER & CHECK, LLP (“KESSLER TOPAZ”) ANNOUNCES THE DISMISSAL OF INTUIT CLASS ACTION
Thank you for your interest in the class action lawsuit against Intuit Inc. (“Intuit”) on behalf of all Free File Program-eligible persons or entities in the United States who paid to use a TurboTax product to file an online tax return for the 2002 through 2018 tax filing years. The lawsuit Kessler Topaz filed was consolidated in the action captioned, In re Intuit Free File Litigation, Case No. 3:19-02546 (N.D. Cal.) (the “Consolidated Action”). Kessler Topaz was not counsel in the Consolidated Action.
The parties in the Consolidated Action attempted to resolve the litigation through settlement. However, the Court denied preliminary approval of the settlement on March 5, 2021.
On May 26, 2021, the plaintiffs in the Consolidated Action filed a Notice of Voluntary Dismissal with Prejudice, meaning that the Consolidated Action was dismissed and that the plaintiffs are no longer pursuing claims against Intuit.
