The settlement of this shareholder class action lawsuit is on behalf of investors who purchased or otherwise held Quantum-Si Inc. f/k/a HighCape Capital Acquisition Corp. (“Quantum-Si”) (NASDAQ: QSI) common stock between May 10, 2021 and June 10, 2021, inclusive (the “Class Period”).
Quantum-Si agreed to pay $7,600,000 to resolve this class action lawsuit alleging the company and certain of its officers and/or directors breached their fiduciary duties to the Class.
What’s the status of the Settlement?
On January 7, 2026, the Court granted Preliminary Approval of the Class Action Settlement. There is a Final Settlement Hearing scheduled for March 27, 2026. The settlement website is active and open for claims.
Who can file a claim?
The settlement class includes all persons or entities who:
- Purchased or otherwise acquired Quantum-Si common stock between May 10, 2021 and June 10, 2021, inclusive.
How much is the Settlement Payment?
Pro rata payment: The total settlement fund is $7,600,000. The amount each class member receives will depend on several factors, including:
- The number of valid claims submitted
- The number of shares purchased and sold
- The dates of purchase and sale
- The price paid for the shares and the price received upon sale
