Hepatitis C Harvoni Sovaldi Claims

Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is Investigating Potential Claims Against Insurance Companies on Behalf of Hepatitis C Patients

Hepatitis C is a widespread contagious disease that can lead to severe liver damage, cancer, and even death.  In October 2014, the United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) approved Harvoni, a prescription drug that can cure Hepatitis C.  Despite the clear benefits of Harvoni treatment, certain health insurance providers are denying Harvoni treatment for patients with Hepatitis C.  Further, health insurance providers are also denying Hepatitis C patients Sovaldi, another drug to treat the disease.

Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is investigating whether insurance companies limiting Hepatitis C patients’ access to Harvoni and Sovaldi treatment.  Specifically, Kessler Topaz is investigating whether Hepatitis C patients were denied Harvoni and/or Sovaldi treatment on the grounds that their liver was not “damaged enough” to warrant treatment.

If you or someone you know was denied Harvoni or Sovaldi treatment, and would like to learn more about our investigation, please fill out our online form, or contact us today at 888-299-7706 or by email at [email protected].
