Our investigation focuses on the recent findings of an advisory panel to the FDA who unanimously agreed that a common decongestant ingredient, phenylephrine, used in many over-the-counter cold medicines (including those above) is ineffective. As a result, Kessler Topaz is investigating whether consumers have overpaid for ineffective medications containing phenylephrine.
