Kessler Topaz is investigating a potential consumer class action lawsuit against SuperCare Health (“SuperCare”), a post-acute care respiratory services company focused on managing high-risk respiratory patients in their homes.
On March 25, 2022, SuperCare notified patients whose information was involved in the data breach. SuperCare determined that patients’ names, addresses, health insurance information, medical record numbers, birth dates, patient account numbers, claim information, treatment information, and hospital or medical group information were involved in the data breach. Additionally, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers for a small number of patients were also involved in the data breach. SuperCare indicated that over 300,000 patients were impacted by the data breach.
