Melissa Troutner, an associate of the Firm, concentrates her practice on new matter development with a specific focus on analyzing securities class action lawsuits, actions involving breach of fiduciary duties, shareholder derivative actions, antitrust actions and complex consumer actions. Melissa is a member of the Firm’s Lead Plaintiff Litigation Practice Group which has secured lead plaintiff appointments for the Firm’s clients in a number of high profile cases. Melissa has over 10 years of experience litigating consumer fraud and complex commercial actions in state and federal courts.
Melissa graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2002. While at Penn Law, she was a Senior Editor of The Journal of Constitutional Law and volunteered for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. After law school, Melissa served as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Stanley S. Brotman, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey.

Melissa has a strong commitment to pro bono work and has volunteered for the Office of the Child Advocate, Philadelphia Reads and Delaware Volunteer Legal Services. She is an active supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Story Changers, an organization which helps African children receive an education, daily meals, medical aid and emotional support.
