On September 24, 2024, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, among others, reported that a Nevada District Court had granted Light & Wonder’s competitor, Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. (“Aristocrat”), a preliminary injunction relating to Light & Wonder’s game, Dragon Train, alleging that Light & Wonder misappropriated trade secrets in the development of the game. On this news, Light & Wonder’s stock price fell $21.97, or approximately 19.5%, to close at $90.71 per share on September 24, 2024.
Then, on March 27, 2025, Light & Wonder’s share price began to fall following the filing of an amended complaint by Aristocrat which, among other things, added a claim against Light & Wonder for trade-secrecy violations in connection with Jewel of the Dragon.
