Kessler Topaz is investigating claims on behalf of current owners of certain Honda CR-V and HR-V (2018-2022) (“CR-V" or "HR-V") vehicles.
Our investigation is related to recent complaints from CR-V and HR-V owners related to a sudden loss of power from potential defects in the rear differential assemblies. At the end of the November, NHTSA opened a Preliminary Evaluation into the issue in response to complaints from vehicle owners. These complaints indicate that CRVs and HRVs have experienced the sudden loss of motive power while travelling at highway speeds. The NHTSA Preliminary Evaluation and some of the complaints have identified differential seal leaks as the potential cause of the problem.
Kessler Topaz is concerned that this defect creates a significant safety risk to the driver and vehicle occupants.
