Case Background:
On March 22, 2019, the initial complaint in this securities class action was filed against Healthcare Services Group, Inc. ("Healthcare Services" or the "Company"), and certain of Healthcare Services’ officers and directors, asserting violations of sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act. The action is brought on behalf of Healthcare Services investors who purchased or otherwise acquired Healthcare Services’ common stock from April 8, 2014 through March 4, 2019, inclusive.
The Complaint alleges that throughout the class period, Defendants made materially false and misleading statements regarding the Company’s business, operational and compliance policies. The Complaint alleges that specifically, that Defendants made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that Defendants engaged in a scheme to deceive the market and a course of conduct that artificially inflated the price of Healthcare Services securities by misrepresenting the value of the Company’s business and prospects by overstating its earnings and concealing the significant defects in its internal controls.

On May 23, 2023, the Court granted the Motion for Disbursement of Funds. This case has concluded.
