Ford and Lincoln EcoBoost Engine Investigation - Potential 2.7 Liter Engine Failure

Kessler Topaz is investigating a potential defect in certain Ford Motor Company ("Ford") and Lincoln Motor Company ("Lincoln") vehicles equipped with 2.7 Liter EcoBoost engines. Specifically, the investigation concerns reports that these vehicles may experience engine smoking and/or sudden engine stoppage, often occurring at very low mileages (some under 5,000 miles).  Dealers are generally attributing these issues to, amongst others things, dropped valves that may require full engine replacement. These potential defects can lead to dangerous safety issues and require costly repairs.

The vehicles that may be affected include:

Vehicle Model Years
Ford Bronco 2021-2022
Ford Edge Sport 2015-2019
Ford Edge ST 2019
Ford F-150 2015-2022
Ford Fusion 2017-2019
Lincoln MKX 2016-2018
Lincoln Continental 2017-2020
Lincoln Nautilus 2017-2020
