Kessler Topaz is investigating a potential consumer class action lawsuit against Flagstar Bank (“Flagstar”), one of the largest financial service providers in the United States.
On June 2, 2022, Flagstar learned of the data breach after an investigation revealed that hackers accessed sensitive customer details. Flagstar sent a letter to affected customer informing them that hackers breached its corporate network between December 3, 2021 and December 4, 2021. According to Flagstar, the data breach affected over 1,500,000 customers and the hacker obtained customers’ Social Security numbers.
