Job Description

KTMC seeks a Claims Analyst who will be responsible for identifying new securities class action settlements in the market.  The Analyst will research these settlements to determine the securities and investment periods involved and execute database queries to identify KTMC clients that are eligible to file settlement claims.  The Analyst will prepare claims by analyzing client transactions and holdings data, formatting the data, and submitting to external claims administrators.  The Analyst will also perform claim audits for clients to determine if all past or current claims have been filed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret securities class action settlement notices and claim forms to understand claim eligibility and data requirements
  • Perform securities research and database queries to identify clients’ investment transactions and holdings relevant for preparing claims
  • Analyze clients’ transactions and/or holdings to determine universe of claimants that meet the parameters to file claims
  • Reconcile clients’ transactions against periodic holdings to confirm claims data or identify inconsistencies/deficiencies in transactions records
  • Research, resolve, and/or escalate inconsistencies/deficiencies in transaction records
  • Prepare and submit claim forms in paper and/or electronic format
  • Communicate with outside vendors via telephone or email regarding claim status; cure claim deficiencies and track claim status through distribution or payments
  • Audit claims filed by third parties; coordinate with third party filers to obtain claim information and to resolve discrepancies; review universe of filed claims for completeness and accuracy 
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve claims identification and preparation process
  • Meet with manager and/or peers as necessary to discuss issues and resolutions
     

Qualifications

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an analytical discipline (Finance, Accounting, Math), previous relevant experience considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience preferred
  • A good understanding of securities investments (stocks, bonds, options) and securities portfolio statements
  • Must have strong analytical and basic math skills
  • Must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and be detail oriented.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed with little to no advance notice.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Desire and ability to learn and adapt to a wide variety of software (internal) applications

Job Description

KTMC seeks a Claims Payment Analyst. They are responsible for receipt of class action claim payments and further distribution of payments to clients. The Analyst may also assist with the preparation of claims and/or the response to correspondence received from claim administrators for previously filed claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, record, and distribute claim payments to clients
  • Prepare payment advice letters and correspond appropriately with clients regarding their distributions
  • Complete check deposition forms.
  • Complete outgoing wire payment requests and notify clients
  • Reconcile firm’s client money account with payments awaiting distribution 
  • May assist with audits of claims filed by third parties; coordinate with third party filers to obtain claim information; review universe of filed claims for completeness and accuracy
  • May assist with preparation of claims by analyzing client transaction data, reconciling holdings, and formatting of data for final claims filing

Job Description

KTMC seeks a Reporting Analyst. They are responsible for creating and delivering client notices and report to clients through the firm’s online reporting portal, email, or other means as agreed with the client. They will monitor and collect the various report components from internal sources and external vendors. They will use internal tools and applications to generate and deliver both standard and custom client reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor vendor websites for notification of new and settled global securities class action case; recording details in spreadsheets or databases as necessary
  • Create and format client reports using mail merge, data spreadsheets, and internal resources and tools.
  • Distribute client reports periodically via email or posting to client reporting portal
  • Review various spreadsheets and other tools for data availability for reporting
  • Update work tracking tools to record completion of work
