Kessler Topaz is investigating claims on behalf of Apria Healthcare LLC subscribers related its recently announced data breach of confidential patient information.
On May 22, 2023, Apria Healthcare LLC filed a notice of data breach with the Maine Attorney General after learning that an unauthorized party accessed files on the company’s computer network containing confidential patient information. Based on the company’s official filing, the incident resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names and Social Security numbers, as well as their personal, medical, health insurance, and financial information.
After confirming that consumer data was leaked, Apria began sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals who were impacted by the recent data security incident.
