Richard B. Yates, Of Counsel at the Firm, concentrates his practice in the area of business development for securities fraud litigation, opt out and direct actions, and global portfolio monitoring for institutional investors. Richard has over 30 years of experience in the financial services community, beginning his career in the Finance Group of Skadden Arps in their New York office.
Prior to joining the Firm, Richard was the Chief Legal Officer at Manning & Napier, where he worked for over 17 years in the areas of the Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, ERISA and various state and international fiduciary regulation.
In connection with the Firm, Richard worked on a successful outcome in the Petrobras matter as an opt out litigant, and has followed that up currently with the Perrigo matter.
