Julie F. Swerdloff, a Staff Attorney of the Firm, currently concentrates her practice in consumer protection, antitrust, and whistleblower litigation. Julie has also assisted the Firm in obtaining meaningful recoveries on behalf of clients in securities fraud litigation, wage and hour litigation, and numerous shareholder derivative actions relating to the backdating of stock options. Julie has worked extensively on nationwide class and collective actions representing employees in federal and state actions. Her work has helped clients and class members recover lawful wages owed and has resulted in significant monetary awards as well as improved corporate governance practices.
Prior to joining Kessler Topaz, Julie managed major environmental claims litigation for a Philadelphia-based insurance company, and was an associate at a general practice firm in Montgomery County, PA. While attending law school, Julie interned as a judicial clerk for the Honorable James R. Melinson of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Julie volunteers and contributes to numerous charitable organizations including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Special Olympics, JNF, and her synagogue’s Cook For a Friend Program and Response to Hunger Initiative. She also served as a past board member for Federation Early Learning Services.
