Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP (“Kessler Topaz”) is investigating potential class action lawsuits against Uber Technologies, Inc. (“Uber”) and on behalf of Lyft drivers between 2014 and 2016.

About Uber/Lyft

Uber is a transportation network company headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, operating in 570 cities worldwide. Uber develops, markets, and operates the Uber car transportation and food delivery mobile apps.  Similarly, Lyft is a transportation network company based in San Francisco, California, and develops, markets, and operates the Lyft car transportation mobile app.  Lyft was launched in June 2012, and operates in approximately 300 U.S. cities.

Alleged Unlawful Conduct

Kessler Topaz is investigating whether Uber intentionally developed spyware, code-named Hell, that allowed Uber to gain unauthorized access to Lyft computer systems, and pose as Lyft customers. Specifically, Kessler Topaz is investigating claims that Uber used Hell millions of times between 2014 and 2016.
